Today we’re putting ourselves out there a little bit. My wife, who loves dancing, and I recorded a small video concert featuring six Iboga songs.
We originally wanted to do a live stream, but our internet connection had other plans… So instead, I’m publishing the video completely unedited, including a few little “mistakes” that happen along the way.
I’ve been playing the Ngomo for about four years now, and no matter what I do, these “mistakes” still occasionally appear. It’s quite challenging to sing while playing with both hands at the same time… But nobody becomes a master overnight, right?
The songs are sung in the African languages Popi and Ewondo, as well as in Latin and Czech. We sing them during our Iboga ceremonies at the Czech Kumacenge Temple.
